From the 16th to the 20th of July, we were in Graz, Austria, to participate at the 32nd European Symposium on Applied Thermodynamics 2022. It was great to meet colleagues and thermodynamic friends from outside of Norway again after the long break due to Covid-19. There were many excellent talks and posters at the conference. Morten and Ailo had presented some of our work on perturbation theory and density functional theory for quantum fluids. Vilde presented a poster on the equation of state for confined fluids, Vegard presented a poster on kinetic gas theory for Mie fluids, and I presented a poster on thermal effects during sorption in porous media.
One of the biggest highlights of the conference was on day one when Signe Kjelstrup received the Michael L. Michelsen Award. We are all very proud of that! Some pictures can be found below, one when Signe receives the award from Prof. Jean-Charles de Hemptinne, and one when we are out having a dinner together afterwards.
